Project Description

This landscaping job undertaken for our customer in Tattenhoe, Milton Keynes.

Tree stump removal

The gentleman had a lot of shrubs and a silver birch on his property but he needed more parking space. We removed the shrubs and took down the tree. We removed all roots and dug out with a stump grinder. At the same time we also dug the  footings for the new wall that would mark the boundary of our customer’s property.

Additionally we laid a membrane weed control and then a MOT sub base which needed to be compacted with a wacker plate. A layer of sharp sand followed which is screened and levelled which was again compacted and then topped off with some loose sharp sand.

It’s worth noting at this point that the durability of any paving is underpinned by the care and attention to detail that goes in to the preparation of the ground. Only by laying a solid foundation base can you be sure to maximise the lifespan of the top surface on show so be sure to choose a reputable contractor for all landscaping work.

The customer decided to have the wall to match the property. So it didn’t look out of place in the area, and as you can see , the contrast with the red bottom layers and the buff bricks with the charcoal grey edging.

After we’d finished the customer had more space for his vehicle and a maintenance free driveway.
